SMS Terms

Highground Research Alerts is an optional service that delivers the prediction-market monitoring alerts you configure inside Highground Research as SMS text messages. You choose which markets to monitor and which conditions should trigger an alert (for example, price moves, volume surges, and status changes), and we text you when those conditions are met.

SMS is never enabled by default. To opt in, you sign in to Highground Research, open the alert delivery settings, enter your mobile phone number, and actively check the consent box that states:

“I agree to receive recurring automated Highground Research Alerts text messages (monitoring alerts) at the phone number provided. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help.”

The consent box is not pre-selected. After you submit, we text a one-time verification code to confirm that the number belongs to you. SMS alerts only begin once you enter that code and verify the number.

Message frequency varies. The number of messages you receive depends on the monitors you create and on prediction-market activity, so it is recurring but not a fixed number of messages per week or month.

Message and data rates may apply. The cost of receiving SMS messages is set by your mobile carrier and is your responsibility. Highground Research does not charge a separate fee for SMS alerts.

You can cancel SMS alerts at any time by replying STOP to any message from us. After you send STOP, we will send a single confirmation message and then stop sending SMS alerts to that number. You can also turn SMS off inside the app at any time. Opting out of SMS does not affect email or browser-push alerts.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery depends on your carrier and your device, and is not guaranteed.

Your mobile phone number and SMS consent are used only to deliver the Highground Research Alerts you signed up for and to operate the service. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share mobile opt-in data or consent with third parties for their own marketing. The phone number is shared only with our SMS provider (Twilio) for the sole purpose of delivering your messages. For more detail, see our Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions.
